I thought it was time to update the info here and to add a few other pointers:

"Do I think I am too old to be doing what I do?"

At 57 yes, I do sometimes think I am too old. But then I know why I do this and that takes my age totally out of the equation.

"Why do I sing?"

A very basic answer is that I like to sing and I like a nice song. But then, dont we all? :-)

" ... But; why sing in Youtube?"

I do *not* sing in Karaoke bars, I do *not* sing anywhere outside my home; I have *never* performed; I am no public performer. That should be easy to understand if one considers that I dont take any of what I sing seriously (I have no visions of grandeur) and I have absolutely *no* plans of even thinking I am really any good when compared to *many* talented voices here in Youtube. So What I do here in Youtube is for fun because I am not at all serious in what I do. If I come to a point when I find it not fun to do? Then I will stop.

"Do I rehearse what I have a go at singing?"

Short answer is NO. If I sing what I know I will have three attempts (*at the most*) and choose one of the three. Most times I am happy with none of them in which case I choose which I *think* is my best attempt then publish it here. I do learn songs which I either do not know well or, do not know at all; of course, that takes a bit longer to learn or re-learn something before I try it on cam; again, always three attempts and never more!

"Do I make other recordings of songs I have in Youtube?"

Short answer is YES. After putting a song to Youtube I find that, after a period of time, I can do better with some of them that I have put in here. There is no point in putting two, or more, versions of the same song here in Youtube.

"Do I sing songs I dont particularly like myself?"

Yes quite a few actually. I think its a bit of a challenge in doing so and besides I learn to like some songs I never really got into before having a go at them.

"What about touting for comments?"

I have no interest in touting for comments. But I will go and make comments to other channels to those who take first interest in me; that is courteous to do so and I do not mind that one bit. But I do not get involved in channel-chasing *if* I think it is purely to add views to channels; which is the reverse of what I do myself. I should add I have a few good supporters who view me often. THANK YOU! ... you know who you are :-)

"Invites and friends?"

I will always accept a genuine invite, but I do not accept invites to obvious musicians channels that show no signs of interaction; I mean, I have nothing in common with serious musicians at ground level. Clearly, these people want vast numbers of contacts a lot more than they want to be friends or to share, which in itself is the entire opposite of my own reasons for being here. Does that make sense? :-)

So ... I hope that answers a few questions someone might ask me; what I can say, is that I have had such questions asked me in so many words. I hope some of this helps :-)
