You people sicken me. That part at the beginning is, in fact a "transition" - a fancier version of a fade. The video was obviously made by cutting the beginning of the show with a later clip. The reason McCain appears is because, in the original broadcast, the newscasters began discussing something to do with John McCain with a relevant clip in the background.
