If you have never thought about where you will go when you die...now is the time to do so. I mean, think about it. Eternity! It's a long time. Just think, it's forever and ever and ever. There is no time in Eternity.

I care about where you will spend eternity. I'm a Christian and so passionate for God and His glory and it all began when I was reading the Bible one night, many years ago, and I read these verses in the New Testament, and they struck terror into my heart:

Eph 5:1-6 "Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. But sexual immorality and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience."

That night, I realized that I was the very person the Bible was talking about. Or better yet, God opened my eyes and showed me that I had done all of the above listed things. In other words, I had broken the Ten Commandments. I had violated God's holy law. At that moment, I knew if I were to die I would go to Hell and die in my sins. I can remember thinking, "I will do whatever it takes to get right with God because eternity is a long time!"

What did I do next? I repented (turned from my sins) and trusted in Jesus Christ to save me, recognizing that Jesus Christ died on a cross and rose from the dead and that if I repented and put all my trust in Him I would be saved from Hell. I trusted in Christ the way someone trusts in a parachute to save them from a 10,000 ft jump. I have never been the same since. If you haven't thought about this, please don't wait another minute. Here's what to do evaluate yourself by the 10 Commandments to see how you measure up to God's standards.

Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Have you ever stolen (the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions (by your own admission), you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we've only looked at three of the Ten Commandments.

Have you put God first in your life, or have you created a false god to suit yourself; a god you feel comfortable with? If God judges you by that standard will you be innocent or guilty on the Day of Judgment? You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in Hell. But WAIT! LISTEN. There's good news! God Himself made a way for you to be forgiven. Jesus suffered and died on the cross to satisfy the Moral Law — You broke the Law, Jesus paid the fine!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then He rose from the dead, defeating death. That means that God can forgive you and grant you the gift of everlasting life. Today, confess your sins to God, put your trust in Jesus to save you, and you will pass from death to life.
