Fiona Joy Hawkinsʼ BLUE DREAM began as the most ambitious project of my entire career and resulted in one of the most remarkable collaborations this genre has ever known. The scope of what we contemplated in the beginning was so vast as to be nearly paralyzing, but with Fionaʼs talent, both as a composer and player, and a group of musicians of world-class caliber, a 67:50 suite of music resulted. ICE incorporates piano with rhythm and crosses genres like new age, jazz, world and even a touch of rock. Classically trained as a pianist, Fiona has been writing music since childhood. Her work is thematic and melodic. With a keen eye on film she has always been interested in creating music that evokes images and emotions and tells a story.
