Walaikumasalaam Br Luqman, the term "philosophy" means, "love of wisdom", and I love discovering the truth and nature of things. But I don't feel one needs to enroll in a course, or read books on philosophy as the only way to discover our deepest Truths... just have this great inner passion, and energy to find out for oneself. You can say I am a perennial learner. In the same spirit, I don't feel the Ground of Our Being and the basis of all Life requires any advocacy or defense. It's really up to us how we choose to live out the life cycle of our human experience. Rather than choosing to live merely as a phenomenal ego, I join into the currents taking my Being beyond all images, words, measurements, space/time constraints of perception. It's an exciting adventure and I invite you to try it.

Assalaamu alaikum, Out of curiosity a few questions. Your language and understanding seems steeped in philosophy (I've only dabbled), are u a philosophy student? Are u an advocate of the perennial philosophy?

Wayakum: I see kufar as a trapping style in the thinking process, and as something that can manifest in all people (including many people masquerading around with the muslim label) who haven't yet searched the deeper truths of our Being. It is the fragmented view which authors our human experience, informs our approach, develops our perceptions, and stores it in memory whereafter we suffer from it (be it as unrealistic desires, authority of another's interpretation, or our inability to reconcile it in our learning, etc).
One key to understanding the root of suffering is through reverting back? to "Tawheed" -- shiftting from a dualistic to non-dualistic manner of Being (which Islamically involves surrendering one's false sense of ego identifications to the Wholeness of Being). Once Tawheed (undifferentiated awareness of Being) is realized, then one can fully embrace dualism and celebrate the differences rather than fear or feel threatened by them. Fi Iman Allah

Masha Allah, I enjoy reading some of your responses, they are very thought provoking and really retaliate the kufar, Jazak Allah Khair
