John Anthony Hartman has long history with computers and production. He was very fortunate to have had family that owned a computer store in 1981 this kindled the spark that now burns throughout his life. He started out as a Theater Arts major at the Collage of Santa Fe back in the 80's and he studied multimedia design as well as video production at the Art Institute of Seattle. This has allowed him to experience both sides of the lens as well as the post process.

Inspired by Rheingold and Lanier he had a stint as a Virtual Reality consultant back in the mid 90's. This was an unbelievable time in his life and some of the technologies he saw back then still have yet to come to maturity. This is where his vision of what was possible forever changed. His vision for the coming mediascape is highly influenced by the culmination of these experiences as well as his practical application of current media technologies in his daily work.
