Dan Costello - Early Morning Song

Dan Costello playing his song Early Morning Song live on Boise City Limits, a show produced on Treasure Valley Community Television in Boise Id.

fangerpicker fangerpicker commented:

Hey, hadn't seen this comment, sorry for the slow reply. It's a 1939 Regal guitar, all mahogany body, with a Fishman floating saddle and transducer. Most of what you're hearing of the guitar in this video is from the pickup. That guitar sounds GREAT acoustically as well... I have some instrumenta...

Agreed. But... uh... it's Neil. Not Mighty Joe. Talk about responsibility, honoring geniuses, homage and respect, and then get the band members wrong? lol Absolutely ADORE this Ella recording.

A quick explanation on how to unjam a drive with seized disks. This drive is working already.

Can't help but laugh though... "C'mon kids!! We need a change! Back to the way it was 75 years ago!" and the generation before that said the same thing... and the one before that... and the one before that...

Bobby McFerrin - Opportunity

Bobby McFerrin - Opportunity

fangerpicker fangerpicker commented:

sorta depends how you define it... Yes, it's a 3-octave jump from the lowest note to the highest note through that run at 3:00. Which means... you could say he actually touched the 4th octave if you think of it in ranges. The top note he sings could be considered the beginning of the fourth octav...

Trace Bundy - Pachelbel's Canon

Trace Bundy playing Canon with a little twist of his own on an acoustic guitar.

fangerpicker fangerpicker commented:

I wouldn't actually qualify most of the harmonics he's doing as tap harmonics... he hits a few, but the majority of the ones he plays are called "artificial harmonics," where you touch the string in the right spot w/ a finger on the right hand (to correlate w/ either an open string or a left hand...

fangerpicker fangerpicker commented:

Wrong title, dude. I guess I get it if you're dodging the copyright infringement stuff, but I'm trying to research the song "Christmas Time Is Here" and, well, you're muckin' it up. This song you've posted is titled "Christmas Don't Be Late." Please fix it. And Happy Holidays!

Leo Kottke - Little Martha

fangerpicker fangerpicker commented:

The only reason you'd need to use a capo is if you're playing it in the key that Duane Allman originally recorded it. Leo's is in open D (D-A-D-F#-A-D). If you tune your guitar to that, you'll be in the same key as this recording. Kinda frustrating that he doesn't do the second section of it, but...
