I must say when I first uploaded a 1981 WAKR newscast, I didnt think the interest would be much. Boy was I wrong. So now even in my car ads I will leave in show and station promos. They are a great part of history.

And I enjoys channels like yours to see other parts of the US

That particular version of the logo was used for WTOP (now WUSA) Channel 9, the CBS affiliate in Washington D.C.

Thanks for posting these. I worked in local TV from 1987-2003. It just isn't the same any more. Local TV has lost it's charm to Viacom, News Corp., Time Warner, etc, etc.....

I feel bad for the kids today that will never know what it's like to have a true LOCAL televison station in their area to see what it can do for a community.
