Interests and Hobbies: MY NEWEST LETTER TO HIT ENTERTAINTMENT Hello, My name is Ethan McKinley. This letter is not a letter of abuse or a letter of Complaint, But it is a letter of Thank you and a letter of some ideas that could be done so that Many more Thomas Viewers, Cusatomers and Fans can come back to the show that made many children across the world happy. The Series is not bad at all. It has just turned into a little kids show. Many children loved the Awdry Stories and enjoyed the happiness of engines talking and acting by themselves. It was a legacy of absolute Brilliance. The show was always my favourite thing to watch and i am almost 16 and I am still a loving and devoted fan to one of my best friends that has been there throughout my life. It has been my escape, my parent, my best friend. My father left when I was 2. And this show has been my father. I didnt have any other male role models around. I had no Grandfathers, My uncle was much of a role model and all my other male relatives were distance. Thomas has been My father and I cannot get it out of my head that I have watched it for almost 16 years and have loved every minute. It is not your fault about the show. I suppose it was just how it happened. But i do respect you for all the work you have put into it. I just have a few Ideas and a few things that i have been pondering for years, that I have finally written down and decided it was time to Vent. Sorry if i seem a bit out of line or anything, i would just love to seem some of these things happen, as would about 90% of Older Thomas Fans. This is not a demand, it is a request, that has been politely put into words that have almost made me upset. I wont go into all the details of my past with Thomas but I would just love to see the lovely episodes that made me who I am.. My main disappointment is the fact that we dont see any old engines. We only see the same old Thomas Edward Emily Toby Henry Gordon James and Percy. It should have been kept the way it is. I recall back in Season 4 the episode Bowled Out Featured Engines 1 to 10. This is a good example of episodes focusing on main characters. Children are not the only people that watch the show. Us older viewers enjoy it too. The series was not made to be turned into a childrens learning show. It was Brought in because a lovely woman Named Britt Allcroft had an idea that changed my life. If she never thought of turning The Railway Series into A Tv Series I would not be the person I am today.My First thing is aimed at Season 5. Not only were new characters introduced, but they never came back. I dont get it. If you still have their models, why arent you using them. Derek the Diesel could have been a good character to see grow and change from the Teething Troubled Diesel he started off as. He could have returned from the works and had some good moments. Season 5 also saw No Daisy, Sir Handel, Duke, Bulgy the Bus, Tom Tipper or the Post train. Then we saw that Bertrum was Duke. I dont understand how a problem can go wrong like that. We didnt even see any seasons 1 2 3 and 4 destinations. What is it with Maithwaite. It is Tobys Station. But the thing is that Donald and Douglas made cameos. I know this was none of your doing, but this is something to build upon. Maybe return these characters for good. Maybe even bring Smudger to the narrow Gauge Railway. Also For CGI, maybe refer to seasons 1 2 3 and 4. Those were the seasons that all older viewers agree were the best. Take bits from them, take destinations from it. Season 8 was not my favourite, but i suppose you were still learning what to do with Thomas. There was also Emily being made a main character, Duck being taken out of the show and being replaced with Emily. If you were to talk to youtubers that watch Thomas, many would tell you that the disappearance of Duck was a very disappointing thing. Mainly because Duck was one of the Main Characters. Instead of building Emily a shed at Tidmouth, Why not Build Duck one too. Calling all engines made me happy because I saw Daisy and Derek return. But I dont like Maviss horn. It sounds like a car. I prefer the season 2 horns as does every older viewer. Mainly the fact that Knapford sheds was finally mentioned, even though it was Tidmouth Works sheds. Well so I think. I also think that maybe BoCo could have had an appearance in Calling All Engines as a Diesel that tells the Steam Engines that he doesnt have a problem with them. Just as Daisy should have too.
Movies and Shows: I also dont agree with Stories being based on Morals. Change it around a bit. Maybe take some Railway Series stories and use them again. Remember, many people loved Seasons 1 2 3 and 4 more than ever because of Wilbert and Christopher Awdrys stories. They were based on actual events too. There are many Thomas annuals with Brilliant stories that could be used as episodes. I think with a storyline already written for you, it might be easy not to make mistakes. Going by older stories is a great idea to me, as Hit Entertainment Stories are based on The outcome of trouble, Morals, Consequences and are only based on 12 engines. Thomas Percy Edward Gordon James Henry Emily Diesel Arry Bert Toby and Mavis on some occasions. Expand the Characters, all the younger children are going to be asking who the other characters on the toy shelves are. Take characters from the books and expand you series with Railway series stories. While at the same time making your own. Season 9 was an improvement. I dont ever recall seeing Duck though. Boco, Daisy, Sir Handel, Bertrum, Duke and many others were missing. This was a disappointment to many. But with the introduction of The Thin Controller was a blessing for many of us. But again, the stories lacked action. We loved to see old camera techniques and use of background engines. Molly has suddenly become the number 1 Cameo engine. Almost appearing in every episode as a first scene background character. Again Fearless Freddie was a blessing. He was your version of Ivo Hugh. But we is a much liked character. Neville could have had more stories in after seasons. I liked his personality, as did many. The Narrow Gauge engines did not need detail to look good, Their previous models from season 4 were 10 times better. I guess its something you grow to like. I mean I grew up with seasons 1 to 4 and the books. Although Thomas was a Childrens show, it wasnt a learning show. It was like Tugs. But Tugs could have had another season. Maybe you could join them up with Thomas. The Pack, The Narrow Gauge, The Steam Team, The Diesels, The Tugs, The Roadway Crew, The Air Crew. These are groups of characters that could be used in different episodes. They would make a great addition to Thomas. Maybe that would get a lot more viewers, as a lot of people are Tugs and Thomas fans. They are brother and Sister Shows. There could also be the introduction of Wilbert the Forest engine, The Arlesdale railway and the Mountain engines. These characters would also get a lot more viewers. People who like the Books, are sure to watch this show. If you are really doing 80 episodes for season 13 maybe do 80 for season 14. You would be able to introduce so many characters. But Maybe, like you did with the Pack and The little engines, Send different DVDS out with some saying. Video 1. The Steam Team. Having episodes involving the steam engines. Video 2: The Little Engines. Having episodes involved with the narrow gauge engines on that video. And so on. I think with more use of the books, The Thomas the Tank Engine brand will take a real hit with viewers, merchandise buyers and everything. You would be making many people happy, while making yourselves quite happy to. Seasons 10 and 11 were pretty much the same with Donald and Douglas returning it was a great thing for viewers to see.Season 12 was everybodys favourite out of Hit Entertainment brand Thomas. I have a few other things to add. With CGI being used, you wont have the bother of using 2 engines (Thomas and James) being able to visit the narrow gauge railway and 2 engines (Thomas and Percy) being able to see The Pack. Using a variety of Characters in many episodes is a great way to get many more viewers. The idea of Joining Tugs to Thomas would bring in around 70% of Tugs fans to liking Thomas. Creating Tugs Merchandise as well. Maybe even expanding your range of toys. Trackmaster, Take Along and Wooden Railway are great, but they are lacking variety of characters and sets. Wooden Railway is fine. But expanding Trackmaster in a way would get more customers into buying your merchandise. Trackmaster should bring out more than 10 characters a season (meaning spring summer autumn winter) that way you would be able to be ahead of yourself and create more carriages and sets. All in All You have done a great job with Thomas. Its just the little things that could be done that would bring many more viewers and customers into the whole Thomas Company. These things would bring in more viewers and would get older viewers back into the train that changed the world.
Music: There's 1 to 11 and others too; Living on this line with things to do! Black, Brown, Yellow, Green, Blue and Red.They all have time, thats time to spend. Pulling trucks and coaches trains. Running through the winds and heavy rain. All live on this Island, The Fat Controllers Line. Diesel come from here and there. Steam Engines come from here to stare. Buses Cars and Tractors too. And many more of these Friends to view. They all love a longer running train. With all the sweat and grunts and strain. All come from this Island, The Fat Controllers Line. Thomas Hes the clever one. Edward is a lot of fun, Henry toots and huffs and puffs, Gordon says enoughs enough, James is vein but lots of fun, Percy he is full of cun. Toby he is brown and square, Duck is western he doesnt care Donald he is number 9 Douglas thinks everyone is fine, Oliver and his breakvan Toad, Bill and Ben take heavy loads, Diesel Daisy BoCo Stepney Mavis Stanley Murdoch Emily, All are nice and all are friends when travelling round the swervy bends. These engines run the biggest line. The steep large hills and large inclines. All live on this railway. The Fat Controllers Line. Theres a smaller railway on the land, It runs through woods and lakes and sand. They may seem small but they are great. Taking trains that never run late. These engines may seem a little small, They run where bigger engines cannot crawl. These are the little engines, The Narrow Gauge Railway. Skarloey, he is the brainy one. Rheneas he is said and done, Sir handel is bad but kind at times. Peter sam he never whines. Rusty Duncan Smudger Freddie too Mighty Mac Proteus Bertrum Duke They work hard all of the time .The Thin Controllers line. These are the vehicles of the land. They bearly ever need a hand. They work harder every day. It seems like they are always awake. They work in orchards fields and worksites Helping make a better life All live on the Roadway Bertie and his Friends Trever George Thumper Caroline Butch, Terence Tiger Moth Bulstrode Bertie whoooosh. When they see eachother across the line, They whistle and greet them every time All know what they have to do, from trucks and coaches and freight trains to. All live on this Island.
