Well in my free time, I like to study herpetology, herpetoculture, horticulture and zoology. I also go field herping a lot, but in Scotland there are not many herps to find and the weather usually doesnt permit.

so can you tell me wht you think
I have a question. I know you and other snake people around the world keep snakes in racks. But I am confused. From what I know from my reading. Reptiles need direct rays from the sun or what we use a Reptile bulb to look for food and exlpore their sourrondings and ultimately digest a meal. Why do so many herp hobbists keep their snakes in rack with out a bulb?
I guess room tempertaure is kept accurrate enough so digestion can take place or heat pad.
Can you please tell me how snakes kept in rack are thriving?
