Terminal 3 is the largest building in the world by floor space, with over 1,500,000 m2 (370 acres) of space. The terminal is said to be "opulence personified". Terminal 3 has an annual capacity of 43 million passengers. It is located beneath the taxiway area at Dubai airport and is directly connected to concourse 2. Terminal 3 differs from Terminal 1 as there are fewer walking distances. This is the main difference between the terminal 1, which is linked to the concourse (Sheikh Rashid Terminal) with a tunnel, and terminal 3. The shape of the terminal 3 is in the shape of an aircraft wing and is 1 km (0.62 mi) long.

Terminal 3 includes a multi level underground structure, first and business class lounges, restaurants, 180 check-in counters and 2,600 underground parking spaces. The terminal will, by adding 15,000 m2 (160,000 sq ft), double the amount of retail space at Dubai Airport.[14]

The departure and arrival halls in the new terminal are located 10 m (33 ft) beneath the airport's taxiways.

The terminal incorporates two levels of parking for vehicles and was fully opened on 14 October 2008.

Comments: The last day flight you'll see for Emirates 432/433. Since the service started in 2005 it's operated DXB-SIN-BNE-AKL-BNE-SIN-DXB with the amazing B773 and as of February 2008 it's been operated by the B77W. Emirates 432/433 has been rescheduled to an arrival time into BNE at 00:45 and an early departure of 02:45 to DXB via SIN. As of the 02/02/09 Emirates have introduced another flight to BNE, this time with a direct route from DXB. Emirates 434/435, an Airbus A340-500, now takes over Emirates 432/433s old arrival time, with an ETA into BNE at 06:35 and an ETD to AKL at 08:10, all the other times arriving back from AKL are the same as EK432/433s old times. 02/02/09 makes the day in SYD even better with the arrival of the Emirates' first A380 service to Australia. Since the A380 is operating EK412/413 which was previously operated by the A345, EK412/413 will now be operating to AKL instead of CHC.
