Ellen studied rhythmics in Hannover at the Hochschule für Musik and Theater, then went to Munich to study Latin Percussion with Cesár Granados (Conexión Latina, Bully Parade, etc) and Marcío Alves. Since 2002 she has been studying Jazz Percussion at the Musikhochschule in Mannheim with Prof. José Cortijo (HR-Big-Band, John Lord, Bobby Mc Ferrin, etc). She studied on Cuba with Panga, and has been to Salvador de Bahia (Brasil) for half a year for percussion studies. As a performer Ellen has worked with various musicians and artists; Robin Gibb (BeeGees, Magnetic Tour 2004), Klaus Meine (Scorpions), Kamary Phillips, The Flames, Dinho Alves, Dominique Dumais and many more. She also teaches percussion.
