About Me: Established in 2004 by former V2 Music Italy and Virgin Music Italy A&R Ilario Drago with the help of Fabio Fornaroli, Ego is one of todays Best Italian Dance Labels.

Since then, the label has built up a formidable reputation, finding themselves at the forefront of both the national market (releasing Top 10 Singles such as Jean Claude Ades & Vincent Thomas Shingaling and Albums such as Fatboy Slims The BPA We Gonna Need A Bigger Boat) and overseas (licensing projects to partners Worldwide including Ultra, Nervous, Data/Ministry Of Sound, New State, Universal, Scorpio, Airplay, Happy, Kontor, Spinnin, N.E.W.S., Disco Wax/Warner, Hussle/Ministry Of Sound and One Love/Sony to name but a few), and is now considered one of the leading House labels thanks to its ever increasing artists roster, including some of the most respected DJs and producers Worldwide such as Ben Macklin & Jay P, Richard Grey, Eleze, Mephisto, Flanders, Dino Lenny and Starchaser, as well as some of the hottest remixers in the World right now such as Andy Chatterley, Paolo Mojo, Wally Lopez, Gold Ryan & Tapesh, Paul Harris, Out Of Office, Glenn Morrison, Fonzerelli, Robbie Rivera, Tom Novy, Carl Kennedy, Cedric Gervais and Micky Slim to name but a few.

More recently, Ego has launched its Hysterical sister, a special imprint designed to put out upfront underground tracks with a more clubbier sound, which is rapidly growing its credibility thanks to massive productions and remixes from artists such as Analog People In A Digital World, Cagedbaby, Pig & Dan, Joachim Garraud, Adam Shaw, Jose Amnesia, Katherine Ellis, James Talk, Trophy Twins & Funkagenda, Dave Robertson & Jon Gurd and Thomas Schwartz, which as well as plays from Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Annie Mac, Annie Nightingale, Kissy Sell Out, Dave Spoon and Rob Da Bank on BBC Radio 1, have been receiving regular DJ support from nearly all the DJmag Top 100 DJ Pool (from Armin Van Buuren to Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, David Guetta, Ferry Corsten, Deadmau5, Carl Cox, Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela, Fedde Le Grand, Dubfire, Benny Benassi, Bob Sinclar, Mark Knight, Marco V, Roger Sanchez, Sander Kleinenberg, Steve Angello, Gabriel & Dresden, Erick Morillo, Nick Warren, Mauro Picotto, Steve Lawler and Tocadisco) as well as achieving regular success in the Buzz Chart in DMC Update, the Cool Cuts Chart in Music Week and the Hype Chart in DJmag, which looks like a record for an Italian label.

2009 is really blowing up in a very big way for the Ego and Hysterical labels, and with lots of new great music coming, it shows no signs of calming down So keep your ear on the ground!
