Great Idea but why does everybody use a dish shape to track sun.Why not use a globe shape solar collector. Dishes always need to move but a ball shaped solar collecting, can get all angles on its panels.

Another good project of a application for solar type idea. Is not using sun light to charge a device. Instead using a laser to charge solar panels . Or laser light sent unto solar panels to gain electricity. Works good under water or fiber optic laser light to charge a solar device where sun light will not go. Like around more than one object or even under water. Light power to charge a device is always safer than conventional copper wires because if cut or under water, only light is released unlike electricity wires that can cause electric shock like under water. Navy uses fiber optics for some tools like a underwater clock or thermometer. Because laser light is safer under water and it is bendable.
