If Peep Show were to be remade in the US, it would only work on HBO or Showtime (or possibly FX, if it were slightly toned down to an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia level).

However, as an American, I'd like to state that I'd much rather just have one of those networks take the rights to Peep Show away from the morons at BBC America (I know it's not a BBC show, but they have the US rights) and get it out there in all of its profane glory. I guess I really should just bite the bullet and buy the UK DVDs (and a region-free player to watch 'em).
