If only the government put more focus on dangerous driving habits like tailgating, pulling out without looking, failure to signal etc. rather than just sticking speed cameras everywhere. Fair enough people need to regulate their speed but it seems like a one-sided approach.

The questions are easy, the hazard perception test its difficult. I've passed my car test and my bike test theory first time. The second time I took the hazard perception test I scraped a pass. I was far too complaisant because I felt I was an experienced driver especially on the motorway driving as it is as boring as real life.

The standard of drivers/driving in the UK who have passed their test becomes extremely poor over time. Take time out (full licence holders) to look at how you behave on the roads - do you: signal always at roundabouts?, stop at stop junctions?, give priority or just take it?, speed?, drive too close to the vehicle in front?, slice roundabouts up?, throw foul and abusive language towards other road users? etc. etc. If you can honestly answer no to all of these, you show signs of being a safe driver, but the reality is you probably do all of these things on a daily basis. Make more time for your journey rather than trying to break the speed of light trying to get from A to B.

The film commentary shows the manouvres you may be asked to do. However, if you take your test at a centre with its own car park, you may be asked to reverse into one of the bays. If this is the case, you will not be asked to do any reverse parking manouvre out on the road, and vice versa.

I would do away with the multiple choice aspect of the theory test. It makes it far too easy to guess the correct answer.

Hi jcat01... Not quite right, people on test were asked 3 Highway Code questions at the end of our test (not multiple choice) The point of the Theory/Hazard Perception Test is to make sure you have the knowledge to keep you safe on the roads....maybe drivers should be re-tested on a regular basis, what do you think?
