I am in my 40s now, and work in TV production. I love your site! I remember the (circa) 1972 Sears Roebuck (RCA?) console my dad bought when I was six or seven years old. It had the mechanical VHF/UHF dials, and 3 or 4 vertical rolling controls for color, tint and bright. I remember on many occasions the set dying and the Sears man coming to the house and pulling out the tuner box and my dad putting the backup black and white 9'' set on top of the dead console until the repairman came back. I would sneak a peak at the open innards of the set. It was crammed full of electronics and tubes and wires. Later, when I was in college, the repairman came to fix our 1985 model. When he opened it we were shocked at how empty the insides were - just some circuit cards.

Anyway, great site. It stinks some of your videos in your channel playlist were removed for 'terms' I guess somebody didn't like what was on the tv you were demonstrating. This is educational regarding classic TV sets!

Great Audio/Video component restorations, you have a great "living museum" here. By that I mean you don't just have non-functioning displays like many museums have, you actually have them restored to new operating condition, and exposing the older technology to younger audiences that probably did not know just how far back good quality audio/visual recording and playback technology and systems go..GREAT JOB!!!...AND KEEP IT UP!!!!...Do you have any restored AMPEX 300, or 350 series, full track mono studio recorders from the late 1940's/early 1950's for display here?

I enjoy your interests for preserving vintage media electronics as it relates to my passion for preserving old audio, and video recordings for current, and future generations.
I am also passionate about preserving, and restoring vintage audio/video electronics, and the more people doing this, the better, these things need to be preserved, so current and future generations can see, and hear just how far back in time good quality audio/visual recordings, and related electronics can be found.
Great projects you have going here!!
