he really did not have a very good kit at the time. Remember, both him and Jan were serious jazzbos. Even to this day there is not a lot of money in integrity.

Dang if you do not perfectly describe Buddy. I just used the term "plodding" also on another clip from this album. Don't you see he is a genius: play 4 beats over 7. The downbeat repeats after 28 counts!
