Born and raised in San Francisco. Began playing guitar at the age of 8 and bass at the age of 11. Played first professional gig on bass at age of 17. Played in a band together with brothers Regi and Chris Harvey from late 60's to mid 70's. Joined band "Automatic Man" in 1976. Toured England, Scotland and Wales with fusion rock band "Nova" in 1976. Toured US as member is Stomu Yamashta's "Go Too" project in 1977. 1978, Moved back to US to regroup with brothers to form power trio "HARVEY" performing from 1978 to 1993. Joined the "Caribbean Allstars", Bay Area reggae band in 1988. The "Allstars" performed with Carlos Santana at the "Greek Theater" in Berkeley in 1989. Doni played with "Clarence Clemons and the Red Bank Rockers" as guitarist and vocalist from 1994-1998. Released first solo blues CD's "Your Blues Ain't Like My Blues" early in 2001, for for German label "Herman's". Continues to perform Solo Blues in the Bay Area and touring in Germany.

Thanks for the music! I bought the 1st Automatic Man album when it first came out and liked it a lot, primarily for the keyboard stuff. ( I lent it to Steve Roach and he never gave it back!! Steve wanted it to hear Mike Shrieve because he was going to work with him on music that developed into their "The Leaving Time" album.) I actually jammed with the drummer from your second album during the late 70s in L.A.
