Illegal billboards serve as giant canvases for Southern Californias graffiti artists. Too Tall Jahmal, founder of 50mmlosangeles.com, a web-site dedicated to promoting global graffiti culture, says graffiti art can be a political statement. Augor, an artist profiled in the video, calls himself a billboard liberation artist, because much of his work involves painting over giant, pop culture billboards.
