BEATNIK MUSIC

Beatnik is a band made up of writer/producer siblings DJ NIKKI & STATIS. Nikki and Statis are both internationally renowned DJ's in their own right. They have worked together writing, producing & appearing on tracks for fashion shows, corporate awards, television & remixes. The combined styles of the duo fuse to make what could only be described as a British Urban White Stripes. The overall sound is a fusion of Hip-hop and Breakbeat drum tracks mixed with rock style riffs and electro sounds. Add to this vocals ranging from punk influenced raps to soulful R&B hooks and the final mix is a combination of wonderful originality that fuses to become a combination of like Johnny Lydon and Slick Rick's understandably perverted lovechild.
