This is a vintage Maplin 5600s stereosynthesizer. This sequence is based on his two transient trapezoid envelopes. It's a very nice matrix synthesizer with many parameters ...much more than an EMS VCS3. His Matrix has 30 x 30 contact points (900 in total) for complex I/O and control voltages.
It has a built in spring reverb and an amazing cv controlled phaser.
The "kick" come out from a RSF Kobol driven by the Maplin 5600 trigger.

Formados no Porto em 1996, esta banda tocou no 4.º Festival de Paredes de Coura com apenas 14 dias de existência. Depois de uma série de concertos um pouco por todo o País, grava o EP «Zen» em 1997 que serviria como um cartão de apresentação para o público e para a rádio.
Os «Zen» participam em vários festivais, ao lado de bandas como os «Rage Against the Machine», «L7», «311» e «Rollins Band». Em 1998, gravam o seu primeiro álbum, «The Privilege of Making the Wrong Choice», bem recebido pelo público e pela imprensa em geral, afirmando os «Zen» como uma banda de culto, com uma considerável legião de fãs.

Arts and technology collective seeper baked a giant interactive Pi for the 2008 Glastonbury Festival. The filling being the audience.
They asked: If there is no beginning and no end, then what? their answer Pi, Pie or a circle? In this instant a 16 metre round Big Top tent in the festivals Trash City area, that responds to the motion of the people within it.
Standing inside the Pi people were tracked by cameras and saw a silhouette of themselves on the walls of the space. As they moved photons, plasmas and other particles radiated from them and were sent flying around the space. Their movement also controlled sound as one of a series of instruments. Scratching a beat, playing a bass or strumming strings made the audience not only the filling but also the players, conductors and composers of their own collective Pi.
