This is a once in twenty year storm that happened in Mecca in the early month of Dhul Qiddah 1429 (November 2008). See the Masjid Al Haram being soaked in rain as people are stil doing tawaf around the Kabba and doing salat in the rain. This is very rare storm in Masjid Al haram.

"We send down pure water from the sky. That with it We may give life to a dead land, and slake the thirst of things We have created,- cattle and men in great numbers. Surat al-Furqan, 48- 49"
