I was in Iraq and Afghanistan - derk is right. The German troops (although I don't blame them) are useless to the fight. They even admit this in personal conversation!
In some cases the PC regulations make them a hinderance to the fighting few!
After WWII the Germans and most of Europe lost their will to fight real evil!

Not quite correct we are allowed to do police work and under the law for peaceful engament (yeah i know crappie name) we are allowed to do miltary operations as long as they serve peace keeping purpose. and there has been multiple disskusions if we should change that law. Like I said i served as a medic and helped aload of people.

I didn't block you. I've applied to the military several times but was rejected. Stop me if I'm wrong here but it's only just now that the German troops are allowed to take up defensive positions and return fire? Under those circumstances I wonder just in what sense the Germans in Afghanistan are soldiers.
