Derek doesn't really have a favourite song - he loves so many pieces, for so many different reasons and often he chooses whichever piece he has been working on at that time as his favourite, or he'll choose a piece that reminds him of a particular event or of the person who asks him to play. :-)

    Derek has learnt this just by hearing the record many times - everything is 'transcribed' or improvised as he goes, and he rarely plays a piece the same twice!
