What to do when a dog dies: Everyone that is a dog lover and has had dogs has probably gone through the experience of losing them to an illness or old age etc. These dogs turn into a hero in our minds and I believe that no one ever forgets the moments they spent with them. The memories that live on in the mind of an owner whose dog has died should not be an obstacle to get a new puppy though. Getting a new puppy does not mean that you are substituting your old dog but that you are going to continue passing on your love because of the affection you have for dogs in general.

am sorry am sure it will be quick and painless for your dog. are you having it done at home or at the vets?

so was mine just turned 13 as well. back legs and spine went. was a really bad way for her to go she had to have two injections. the frist failed and only made her scared and caused her to go into spasm.......god every moment hurt.....just if you learn on thing before this happens don't hide the pain let it all out it'll hurt for some time but the wound does heal

am sorry how old is he/she? what breed?

don't worry just make the last couple of days or week really special with your dog give it a good peaice of meat and take some photographs.
