I really enjoy reading your column in the Coloradoan. I read your piece on the War on Drugs and agreed with your point, we are definitely overdue for a major overhaul of American drug policy. But I had one question about your position. Do you support legalization for only Cannabis? Or, do you support legalization that encompasses hard and soft drugs?

Minimum Wage Issue - I don't think you understand the Economics of the Minimum Wage dispute at all. Yes, raising minimum wage will entice others to get the job and go, but the fallacy behind your reason is this: You will end up with a lot of jobs, most will end up being regulated by the government, government protection (Union Workers), etc.
It may be a proven Fact, but it is not economically wise to set the bar where it can be controlled in the hands of the democracy. I would advise you to reteach your understanding of Economics. |

Poor people suffered from other high-minded New Deal policies like the Tennessee Valley Authority monopoly. Its dams flooded an estimated 750,000 acres, an area about the size of Rhode Island, and TVA agents dispossessed thousands of people. Poor black sharecroppers, who didn't own property, got no compensation.

Agreed, FDR and the New Deal did prolong the great Depression. Only after the start of WWII did unemployment start to drop below %10

People like you give me faith in America's ability to stop the madness of the right wing radicals that have caused you to NOT regulate your banking system.

I'd like to thank you David for being one of the few voices of sanity and reason in the American media and for being a defender of democracy and economic justice.

Dude keep spreading the Keating 5 truth. I swear the media is ignoring a huge McCain screw up that would have drowned Obama if it were him.
