New DAVID HABBIN practice video of 'I BLESS EVERY HOUR' And . . . enter comments to win a personally dedicated photo of David!

"I Bless Every Hour" is actually a song by the Swedish composer Carl Sjöberg.

Written in 1892 and titled 'Tonerna' (Visions), it was translated for a recording by the great Swedish tenor Jussi Björling in the 1950's and became "I Bless Every Hour". As a young tenor studying voice I was greatly inspired by Björling's recordings and so a singing teacher of mine suggested I try the song. He brought out a very dog-eared and torn original copy of the sheet music.

For everyone, world wide, this last year has been one of change, of challenge, of loss, of joy but most of all, I think of hope. I find myself every day both blessed and grateful and thought this song an appropriate way to start the season of "Remembrance Day" and "Thanksgiving" leading into all the celebrations of December.

This is just a rough, practice version on a small personal video camera, but I hope you like the simple beauty of the melody. Featuring the fabulous Al Hogarth at the piano.
