Adg211288 already said it but I'll repeat it anyway: everyone from Cradle of Filth to Evergrey have been called Dark Metal, and they sound almost nothing alike. We really need to get a definite set of prerequsites for what is and isn't Dark Metal.
So I've noticed, there are almost no female vocalists in Power Metal. But in all honesty, that's okay, since most of the men can get high enough in pitch to sound like women anyway (and no, that's not an insult. If anything, it's a compliment to the guys).

I am Darth Yoda. By which I mean a 24-year-old woman living in Ireland. Let's see, what would most people care to learn about me?
Well, I'm not telling you my real name or where in Ireland I live, so you can piss off if you care about that. But I can tell you that I'm bisexual. Go ahead, bring the hate. It only serves to make me stronger.
Second, I am Christian, and a very devout one. I believe very strongly in my religion, and nothing you can say could ever shake my faith, so don't even try. But feel free to troll; I'm okay with that.
I used to be really active on YouTube, fighting the good fight against all things mainstream, but I've pretty much since given up on it. I mean, I'll still troll on occasion, but I won't devote hours each day to it. Unlike a lot of people on this site, I've got a life outside this site.
That said, it's not exactly much of one. I frequent all parts of the internet (meaning I know many internet memes), specifically the music, anime/manga, and gaming sites. And that's why I'm on here: to watch videos about music, anime/manga, and gaming.
The emphasis is on music, I should say. Music is a huge part of my life, and so I spend a lot of time listening to music on YouTube.
As you can probably tell from my uploads and favourites (and if you've interacted with me at all), Metal is my favourite music genre. That's not to say that I listen to Metal to the exclusion of all else, though; far from it. I'm actually very open-minded when it comes to music. I like at least one song from every music genre, from Metal, to rap, to techno, to pop, to classical, to swing, and there are even a couple country songs I like.
The only type of music I don't like is mainstream music. And my dislike of it is actually a burning rage that threatens to consume all that exists (hyperbolically, of course). I don't really feel like getting into reasons here, but if you're curious, I'd be more than willing to get into a one-on-one discussion with you about it.

darthy0da And the same thing with the censorship; some parents complain about profanity and sexual content, so they decide to crack down on it. I miss the time when YouTube wasn't scared of being sued.

darthy0da Seriously, it seems to me that they ignore the masses and worry about the people who complain, since they might get sued (Heaven forbid!!). Most people complain about the bulletins being flawed, so they remove them entirely. Great idea.

The way I see it, Metal is Metal is Metal. Sure Gorgoroth and Devin Townsend sound universes apart from one another, but there have been so many bands out there who mix differences elements and have a wide varity of different influences, that it's practically hard to pigeon-hole them into a specific sub-genre.
I've just read your response about the new channel designs on youtube. Looks like I got forced by the new design as well. I gotta to be honest, this kind of blows. Youtube used to be so fine and dandy, but with this "let's force the new channel design on our users", it's being a douchebag these days. I'm surprised that some users still have the old interface. Why is that? I dunno, but I think this is bullshit.
