You cite your research and I'll cite mine. There is no ancient myth of a virgin born man, only myths of the "gods" having sex with women(oops, no longer a virgin!), and then the women giving birth. As far as Jonah is concerned, even Jesus used the analogy of Jonah to comment on His resurrection. I read the same stuff you did, and then did some real research. The so-called mystery religions pre-dated christianity, but it was they who did the borrowing, adding to the cultic info to try and compete. There is no possible way that Christianity could have swept through the Roman Empire if it had been obvious to the people at the time that Christians were saying the same things that already were being said in the religions of the day. The spin is so obvious, even the most unbelieving historians recognize it. I think one would have to really have to already have a vendetta against Christianity to swallow that stuff, and many do.

Your videos are misleading and wrong.. Even Jonah and the whale is about going down in the belly of the "Great fish" or "Whale" and coming up three days later. "Jesus" was indeed a sun myth. Born of a virgin......ancient myth..... turning water into wine.... ancient myth......breaking bread and dividing fish, raising the dead, healing the sick........... all borrowed myths. Even the Cave where "Jesus" was purported to have been born was an old cave with a previous "god" occupant.
Start telling the TRUTH! Quit lying to your flock of ignorants. |

this church for skeptics is great stuff. I just went to the website but they dont have any compiliation of skeptical questions they have already answered in previous shows? This show makes me want to ask some questions, but i dont want to be foolish and ask a question they have already answered.
