I find your channel quite interesting. Although I am not versed in opera at all and am incapable of discussing
the quality of the past and present numerus sopranos dominating on the world opera scenes, I simply adore
Kiri Te Kanawa, as the timbre of Dame Kiri Te Kanawa is so pleasant in my ears. Incidentaly, as for
mezo sopranos I like the timbre of Teresa Berganza. I look forward to watching your videos related to
Kiri. Many thanks to you for your channel, the treasure island for wonderful Kiri videos.

Thanks for posting Dame Kiri Te Kanawa's stunning performance of 'Bailero' from "Chants d'Auvergne". I'm not a great fan of opera at all but this is just breath taking and made this grown man weep from the sheer majesty of it all. This has made my day : )

She is here in Iceland now. She held a masterclass last week, at the academy where I'm studying. I wasn't lucky enough to be one of her students, but I was in the audience for the most part of it. The masterclass ended with a concert yesterday where all her students sang one of the pieces they had been working on during the week. When all of them had finished singing, she got up on the stage and sang one aria in order to show the audience what she had been trying to teach her pupils. She hadn't even been asked to do it, she said it was her punishment for "torturing" those poor kids. It was just amazing.

The sound of music gives us so much emotions
and that plays a melody deep in our heart greatly !
