Crestview, Florida Traffic Creash claims the life of local m cvctv - 2,392 views - 1 year ago
Crestview, Florida---A Labor Day afternoon traffic accident has claimed the life of a seventy four-year-old Crestview man. James Boydston was pronounced dead around 6 pm. Monday evening at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. Boydston was transported from the scene of an accident at State Road 85 and Live Oak Road by Gulf Flight air ambulance after the truck he was driving struck another vehicle and then flipped over in the middle of the road. A total of three vehicles were involved in the wreck that occurred around 2 Monday afternoon. None of the passengers in the other two vehicles were severely injured or required treatment. Wreckage from the accident completely filled the intersection, and heavy north bound holiday traffic on State Road 85 had to be re-routed down Live Oak Road for more than an hour as emergency personnel cleaned up the mess. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

Crestview, Florida---Traffic in both directions on US Hwy 90 had to be diverted early Tuesday morning after the driver of this Pontiac Firebird lost control and skidded more 40 yards up the embankment in front the American Legion Post 75 and then back down th grassy knoll to the highway. The car clipped numerous utility poles guide lines as it slid in front of the American Legion Post causing power lines, telephone lines, and Cox Cable lines to fall to the ground, some of them unsnarling the car as it came to rest on the shoulder of the road.
Initially the driver refused treatment by EMS, but later decided to be checked out and EMS and Crestview Fire Rescue 3 had to return the scene. The road stayed closed for around 45 minutes while first responders cleaned up the mess.

The Crestview Police Department is investigating a suspicious death that occurred in the Eagels Landing sub division sometime Friday morning. Police responded to 713 Majestic around 11:20 am after receiving a 911 phone call.. Police are not saying whether they suspect foul play or if they have any suspects that they are talking to. A CSI Team with the Florida Department of Law enforcement arrived at the scene 1:30 to collect and process evidence from the scene.
