I DO NOT Trace or use a Color Picker... you can see my difficult process of trying to find the right color and the correct proportions by eye. I don't use layers or anything... I try to keep it as close to traditional painting methods as possible!

When I saw the Playboy Spread of Aubrey O'Day... I was really inspired! They were so beautiful and they reminded me of paintings. And I KNEW I had to do a Speed Painting of one of those pictures. I AM OBSESSED with Danity Kane and have been a huge fan of Aubrey ever since I first started watching Making The Band. So of course I was extremely excited to do this Painting! I picked this picture because I love her face, the lighting, the pose, everything about it. And yes, I know, unfortunately I had to censor the picture because YouTube is stupid. So I tried to find a creative way to cover her tottie. LMAO! I first thought of putting the Playboy logo over it. So I photoshopped the logo on the original picture. But as I was painting, I remembered Aubrey is a huge Celtics fan. SO I decided to do the clover or whatever as a little pastie. You can see I struggled with deciding what color to make it. I did the green first and thought it kind of took away from the painting as a whole because the color was so different than anything else in the rest of the painting. So I tried to color the clover using similar colors... but it really looked stupid. And when I went back, I realized I liked the original green color so at the very end I changed it back.

And BEWARE... In the beginning of the video, when I was trying to figure out the proportions of her face... she looks TERRIFYING! LMFAO! Nightmares much?! Anyways, as you can see I eventually (hopefully) figured out the proportions and was able to begin to fine tune everything.

I REALLY got in the zone with this painting, I really feel like it's the first time this has happened with my Speed Paintings. Usually towards the end... I'm like, "OMG... END ALREADY! I'm sick of this..." But for some reason I didn't want to stop! So I was really able to get very detailed.

And this one is REALLY long because it took me like twice as long as normal... I did debate whether or not to cut it shorter. But I finally decided on showing everything because I want the viewer to feel everything I felt... And you are able to TRULY see what an artist goes through when painting. (Or at least what I go through...)
