Your videos expound the worst form of "libertarianism", totally divorced from the line of reasoning that lead libertarian thought in the first place. Go back and read some Enlightenment thinkers: Adam Smith, Wilhelm von Humboldt, etc., to get a taste of what traditional libertarian values are, and more importantly, WHY they are.
I think you represent an American movement that is far more dangerous than Christian fundamentalism, because you pervert a rich history of thought that could potentially serve as an intellectual basis for meaningful social change. If you love freedom so much, then why don't you condemn the elements in society that degrade it, like private power, and the system that props it up: capitalism? |

phh, I can think of heaps of places, now and throughout history that are better than your country is now. eg. New Zealand, australia, Germany, Sweden, finland, France.. In the past: Amazonian tribes, central american tribes, native american indian tribes, probably most tribal people actually.
Although i do agree that there needs to be a serious intellectual change in culture, world wide. Also, what makes you think that Iran shouldve been invaded instead of iraq? |

@ Bukkake
All the things you name are points I might make to show that we need serious intellectual change in our culture. As bad as it is, it is better than any other place or time for all of human history. |

If you guys still have freedom then why do you have things like "free speech zones"? Why can't you wear an anti bush t-shirt at a buch address or rally? Why are two of the most dangerous drugs legal when ones that are far less dangerous and have real benefit illegal?
Why is it ok for the pres to call you an enemy combatant and lock you up indefinately without even telling you why? If you have freedom then how are they allowed to search your home anytime and not even tell you that they were there? Wake up dude, you live in a fantasy world. |

"I never really understood how she would deal with those that absolutely need support."
Where do people starve? Where do people let their neighbors go hungry and homeless? Where are people poor? Not free nations. Just because Soviet Russia claimed to "take care of those that absolutely need support" doesn't mean they actually did it. But in a free country, if YOU want to dedicate your life to that cause, you're free to do so. People only experience desperate, life-threatening poverty in nations where freedom is absent. |

I found Ayn Rand helpful when I was in a cult just to realize how diverse thinking really can be compared to what I was fed as a child.
I Know many people that can't help themselves or survive due to mental illness. I never really understood how she would deal with those that absolutely need support. |
