Here is a much requested review of the new SmartQ5 internet / video / music tablet.

I tried to cover most areas of it, since it's just a linux box with a screen you can obviously install more than I showed. I didn't bother covering the games as they are the usual desktop touch ones and there isn't any minesweeper, ScummVM would be nice.

Here is a fun video showing a broad range of Pandora Games, both 2D and 3D as well as a little keyboard action. Quake 3 is on HIGH DETAIL. It goes quite a bit faster on lower, but I can't resist pushing the Pandora :)

The keyboard isn't great as my case is an old prototype one and the keypad is a little low on the back row, but it still works fine.

I could not get Descent working with the controls in time and wanted to get this posted, sorry.

No nub action as my prototype is too old (the nubs have outdated firmware).

Hello everyone, Craig here, I've got my complete Pandora and have made my first video this evening just showing some random things you might want to see.

Remember the production Pandora will be black/black, this one is just white to show any stress on the case.

Here is a quick and much requested video of the white Pandora which was built a few days ago. It is the first fully working, portable, near final unit. Still some things to tweak up which we are not happy with, but we are almost there now.

You can see use of the keyboard, the nubs, the dpad, the action buttons, the LEDs and the touchscreen.

I should point out the final Pandora will be black - this is white so that we can see any stress points on the case (and fix them).

The game is Quake@800*480 via the SGX (solid 60FPS with dynamic lighting), the OS is Linux (Angstrom). We will do a video with Quake3 soon.

It's not very optimised and there is no hardware acceleration yet but I think you will agree it runs rather well anyway - and don't forget this is on a device the size of a DS.
