An eclectic mix of indie pop/rock, electronica, and pseudo-lounge from the producer of "Chad Vader."
Courtney Collins is a musician/songwriter/chanteuse from Madison, Wisconsin, and has just released her first solo CD "Violet Night" on Maypole Records. The album is a mix of indie pop, pseudo lounge, and electronica, and is comprised of original songs and eclectic covers. The CD was recorded in Minneapolis, Minnesota, by Andrew Thomas and Jeremy Ylvisaker (Andrew Bird, Fog, AT/DT, Mark Mallman, Alpha Consumer) and features members of Fog, Happy Apple, Tarlton, and the Fantastic Merlins. She's also a member of the electronirock band Voltress. Her song "Don't Forget" was featured on Magnet magazine's January 2007 CD Sampler. Courtney also produces the comedy series "Chad Vader" by Blame Society Productions.
