sometimes its important to differentiate between the military and the people within the military. ive learned that too often people in our situation (who oppose war for various reasons) kind of lump the military and its personnel into one big pot that should be ignored/dismissed/condemned. i dont have much faith in the MIC at all, but i do in the idea that its people may be transformed (however slowly)

"I would be a hypocrite if I said that all service men and women must leave the military to be true to the Gospel, but I do feel earnestly that the military industrial complex gives little regard to the inherent value and humanity of an individual, which in my eyes is central to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The way of the slaughtered lamb is known for sacrificial, life-giving obedience to the command to love even our enemies. The way of the sword is scarred by aggression, coercion, and subjugation."
I would like to thank you for saying this, i've thought something along those lines, but i was afraid if i ever expressed my concerns i'd be accused of hating the us military, which i don't.
