I'm Katie. I'm seventeen. I live on a farm/ranch/whatever you want to call it in Oklahoma. We raise goats and chickens, and have dogs, ducks, cats, a goose and horses. And a parakeet.

Horses are my thing. I have five currently. I show in 4H, and in open shows. I do halter, showmanship, western pleasure, western horsemanship, trail, and I started doing playday events this fall.

Easter was my first horse. She's a 24 year old QH mare, and she's retired, and has been for about two years now. She's got a bad knee, but she loves being a pasture horse and getting lot's of attention.

Hanna is a 10 year old paint mare. She's my Dad's horse, but I'm the one who rides her most of the time. We don't really click, but she's pretty fun to ride. I'm trying to finish her up.

Logan is a 5 year old paint gelding. He's my Mom's. I ride him sometimes, and I'm helping her train him for shows this fall. He used to be a trail horse, and we plan on taking him on some trail rides this summer/fall.

Sheik is my 4 year old paint gelding. I've had him since he was baby. He's at the trainer for thirty days [but it's been more like two and a half months]. He keeps going lame, and we don't know what's causing it. I'm hoping with some time off, and a little more growing time, he'll recover, and I can start showing and riding him next year.

And finally there's July. 8 year old paint gelding. I just bought him, and I'm really excited about him. I'm going to show him this fall, and I can take him to playdays.
