CoosaShows goal is to bring to life and illustrate Scouting Servant Leadership at a level and using media that youth understand.

We provide our youth opportunities to lead and modern methods to express their and their peers interpretation of the Spirit of Scouting. In other words put it in the language they understand best. Their own!

We encourage the use of tools of their generation. We are blessed to have many talented youth and some super adult advisors who are able to mentor and coach the best Scouts in the world!
About Me:

We are also known as Crew 50 of the Greater Alabama Council Number 1, Boy Scout of America. Members of our crew are spread all over the world. New York City, Anchorage, Alaska, all over the USA, United Kingdom and worldwide serving in branches of the US Military.

We are a very youth based crew. Our goal is to let the youth run the show and the advisors do just that advise and mentor.

We also train train train and often our youth train the adults.

We are very proud to be an Unit/Crew 50 in a Great Council and work very closely with the Coosa Lodge and the Greater Alabama Council 1 to provide youth leadership opportunities in the service of others and documenting the history of our steps a long our scouting trail.
Hometown:
North Alabama and World Wide
Country:
United States
Occupation:
We all have different day jobs. Our youth are in Schools or Universities all over the country.
Companies:
Too Many to list. Film makers (whose work you have seen and don't know it) to Computer Programmers, M.D.s, Surgeons, Engineers, Graphic Designers and computer geeks like all Scouts we are a diverse bunch.
Schools:
Too many to list High Schools scattered all over Alabama, Universities and in National Military Service all over the world.
Hobbies:
Leadership development, finding youth lead opportunities and training truly the first class and top drawer youth in nation by using the Scouting methods is our purpose. CoosaShows Crew 50 of GAC #1 has members scattered all over the world. Often in times zones opposite each other. We use a variety of innovative internet based collaborative tools and video/audio chat with screen sharing to work on the planning and production of all types of media. Communications if harnessed and focused with the energy of youth is the key to project collaboration. These advanced communication techniques are second nature to our youth and are methods they will use in their adult business life.
Movies:
Too many opinions on favorite movies in our group to even begin to list. Continuing from above: Communications if harnessed and focused with the energy, enthusiasm and imagination of youth is the magical key to project collaboration and follow through. Complete inter-active communication techniques are native to our youth. Sometimes they give us adults a quick lesson on how to use these tools.
Music:
Productions are 100 percent youth lead from inception, scripting, capture, editing, graphic design even duplication and distribution. Little adult input is required. In CosoaShows everyone including the adults are always learning and sharing knowledge.
Books:
Deadlines and various pressures often bring out the best and worst in people. Crew interaction is a very important part of the team and individual learning and maturation experience. Our youth also offer training to others at almost every Lodge event. We are available to give a training cells at your lodge event. We have taught training cells at NOAC and Conclaves. We will work with your shows crew to assist and train them in methods, techniques and workflow we have found successful during the restrictions of a weekend event. Of course our travel depends on individuals cell leader's time and availability. We would be honored to visit your event an offer training in cutting edge communications and video production! Please place a request at least a 6 months advance. Got an idea for a funny, cool, or heart thumping show? What about a training video that would be of service to you? Please forward it on to us at shoals(at)shoals.com. We are always looking for good solid ideas. Keep your youth involved and keep those cameras rolling! WWWOA! MT Hall CoosaShows Member Crew 50 GAC#1
