I love this video. I have a daughter with type 1 diabetes. She was diagnosed when she was 6 years old and is now almost 10. Soon after she was diagnosed I pretty much went crazy for a year and lost custody of her and her sister. I still have a very hard time with the subject, but can now accept it. thanks Misty Nickerson

Wow !!! What more can a person say. That video is so the life of my Neice and Nephew. All I can say is YEAH we can do it lets fight to find that cure! That was really an amazing video and thanks for helping people see what it is really like.

I haven't ever seen my life so real. My daughter was diagnosed at 3.5 years old. Everyday we do all of these things. Noone else can understand a day and a night in our lives. I haven't slept in 5 years. She is the most brave child I know.

Our futures are great. I know that a cure is close. With continuious sensors, and pumps they will find a cure.

I want a life with out having to see her brave side everyday. A child with Type 1 knows that every moment is worth fighting for.

We will be praying for you and yours. Do all you can now and we will move into the future with the courage of our children.

Thank you for representing a typical day in the life of a child with Type 1 diabetes. Sleeping on the hands.....2:00 a.m. blood check, never being carefree....sometimes it hurts, and the strength that these children show when they endure the life long chronic disease....it never ceases to amaze me.....

Its been two years, 4 months, 24 days and about 4 hours......for our Katie. (yes I'm counting the days to the cure) She is a trooper and I'm sure nothing will hold her back. She'll have her life, it will be different but just as wonderful. We are so proud of her.

My girlfriend forwarded this video to me and I thought it was put together so nicely. My daughters and I watched it together, each time there were words they wanted me to read to them but halfway through I was having a hard time reading through my tears. We have a little boyfriend that has Type 1 and even though we know how many pokes and prodes he goes through a day, we will never know how trying it is on him and his parents.

That video was so moving. My little brother, who just turned 8, has type 1 and wears a pump. I see these things everyday too. Recently I realized my little brother is more brave than me. I am 18 and he is more brave than I ever was and ever will be. We look to each other for strength. I tell him its ok that he broke a toy. He tells me its ok to prick his finger. I haven't cried this hard since my grandmother passed away one year ago. Every once and a while you just stop and realize what is going on. This video is an emotional reminder. Do other children sleep on their hands; I don't know... Sometimes I see my brother sleeping with one finger outstretched; as if ready for a 2:30 check.
