SDT Waste & Debris concerned... - 542 views - 8 months ago
The video shown is of several SDT Waste & Debris trucks leaving the Paris Rd transfer site crossing the Southbound lanes and the median to head North on Paris Rd. In the video you can see several vehicles have to slam on the brakes to avoid colliding with the large garbage trucks. The green car has to move so far to the right that it is nearly in the drainage ramp. How long are these trucks going to be allowed to do this? Should it have to take someone getting in a serious accident to awaken the senses of this local waste and Debris Company?

SDT Waste & Debris
Here is video of an SDT Waste & Debris truck off loading garbage directly on the ground. In the video you can see that the concrete ramp where the garbage is supposed to be offloaded is overfull. So instead of taking the time to clear the offloading pad the operator just dumps the garbage directly on the ground. After reviewing section G and K of LAC33.VII.508.B. (Table of Contents Title 33ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY i Environmental Regulatory Code September 2008 Part VII. Solid Waste) http://www.deq.louisiana.gov/p ortal/Portals/0/planning/regs/ title33/33v07-200809.pdf
It is my opinion that no garbage should be dumped onto the ground where it may contaminate the ground and its runoff would ultimately seep into our community. Why are we allowing this to continue in our community? HELP STOP THE TRANSFER SITE FROM CONTAMINATING OUR AREA NOW!
