One of the planet's most outrageous and politically incorrect comedy acts, this diverse troupe utilized an early SNL format of live skits and short films. Founded in 1988 and based in Atlanta, GA, the troupe performed at numerous venues throughout the Atlanta area, skewering pop culture and current events until their breakup in 1991. Their off-the-wall comedy revues included "People Are Strange," "Read THESE Lips," "Nightmare on Ponce," "Island of Misfit Toys," and "Granny Taught Us How." SCHIZ! cast members have gone on to appear in various commercials, feature films and other stage productions. Founding cast member Jeff Lancashire relocated in 1992 to a remote island in the South Pacific, where he shared a hut and a smile with his friends, Ginger and Mary Ann.
