Hey dude, you have all the guns I am going to get...!!! thats wild. I guess everyone loves them. the 870 is going to be my first shotgun.  Right now I only shoot with my buddies...and I have a TON of shooting buddies so those guns seem like mine too.ha
Right now I have my heart set on a springfield xdm. Those look great but for 300.00 I can get your milPro at academy. That is something I might look into to.
You should try hunting and filming that! I think that would be cool to go nasty on some wild boar with an AK47! ha!

Yeah, .223 is limited (Small bullet=low stopping power) and the only thing it has got going for it is its high velocity (Fairly accurate over long ranges), but it works good against coyotes and other varmints.

I have tried shooting my dad's .204 ruger(A small cartridge that is slightly fatter and longer than the .223 and fires a .20 cal. bullet at a very high velocity, around 4000 fps) rifle into a target made up of four sheets of MDF board and one sheet of plywood, and it almost made it through, being stopped by the last sheet of plywood veneer.

.308 looks like a good cartridge as well. I mean, you can't go wrong with a round that is basically a slightly shortened 30.06 case.

I've just got a mini 14, and I really like it. It not only feels very solid, but I have found it to be reasonably accurate and its recoil is comparable to a .22.

Mine though, has a wooden stock and is blued, and I am planning to mount a m14 style flash hider on it.
