Filmed in mid-2005, this is a glimpse into life on the French Quarter's lower Decatur Street before Hurricane Katrina.

Originally written by Ray Davies of the Kinks, this track is performed by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band featuring Clint Maedgen on vocals with a guest appearance by the New Orleans Bingo! Show in the video.

I have moved away from Louisiana and believe me it is like going home for a visit watching your video.
Man I miss fried catfish cornbread and gumbo just talking about it gets me hungry.
No body can cook it like this and man it is good straight from that big iron kettle mama used to make it from.
Thank You for the video.

Making me miss home ... big time. Thanks for all the funnin!

Lunch at Fiorella's then down French Market Place and (the wrong way, wassup wit dat?) up Ursuline to the first left up Decatur, chuck a left up to the Riverview and do the loop and then back down Decatur (the wrong way again ... Kelso!), hang a left up Dumaine, shag it 4 blocks up and hang another left on Dauphine, go two blocks down and swing a right on St. Peters to Preservation Hall.

Goddamn Clint no wonder the frickin chicken from Fiorella's is always so frickin cold !!!

Clint and The Bingo Show are just fantastic, the standardbearers of creativity and originality for New Orleans. The theatrics of their shows could seem like a gymic if their music wasn't so good. But it is good, and we are all the more fortunate for it. Of course, if there were any justice in the world, they'd be an international sensation. On the other hand, it's great to know that they are ours. Call me selfish.

This Video is like a Valentine from New Orleans. It brings back memories of our life there, working & living in the French Quarter. It starts off in the French Market, goes along Decatur Street & up to the the Moonwalk , to Cafe Du Monde, up & down the streets we know so well, and ends up at Preservation Hall. We spent over half of our lives there and it is all so very familiar -- brought a tear to the eye! (actually wept through the whole thing!). Wonderful!
