This is a video of ClipBandit conducting a sound check in preparation for upcoming ClipBandits video "2pointOh". Seeing that the lighting and sound were coming across well with the new recording configuration, ClipBandit improvised a guitar solo for about 8 minutes. All the playing in this isn't great, there was no warming up, but decided to leave the good, the bad and the ugly all in there. This session was intended only to get audio and video set up right for the upcoming video with no intention at the time of playing or publishing it. It just is what it is.
Previously, each of the ClipBandits recorded their parts using webcams only. This time, they're all wiring up the right way to step up their game.
ClipBandits became instant YouTube sensations with the release of their first video "Internet Killed the Video Star". As the World's First Web Band, ClipBandits received much attention in the media, being featured on ABC World News, Good Morning America and met each other for the first time and performed on the Tyra Banks Show. Check the ClipBandits YouTube channel to see the history of the ClipBandits unfold.
The original art hanging on the wall in the background was created by Michael Rios (large center piece) and by Jack Boasberg (smaller pieces on either side). Michael Rios created the last four Santana CD covers and all the backdrops for Santana live concerts for over 20 years. Jack Boasberg is a New Orleans based artist.

ClipBandits have struck again! This time responding to Esmee Denter's "What Goes Around" by Justin Timberlake. Congratulations Esmee for your continued success on YouTube!
ClipBandits live in Austin, Boston, Los Angeles and New York and make their music by syncing each other's YouTube videos. For this song, each of the ClipBandits videotaped an improvisation while listening to Esmee's vocal without knowing what the others were recording until everyone was done. But did so needing to keep in mind what the others might be recording at various parts of the song in order that it all work well together musically. All clips were recorded on web cams. This video is each of their improvisations synced into one mix. Disceperencies in audio and video synchronization are primarily due to each of the ClipBandits using different formats, programs and operating systems to record and transfer their files. Once the source files are accumulated, they are converted and compressed into common formats for syncing on all the monitors displayed in the video. While that process creates many issues with timing, it also provides a believable warmth to the ClipBandits intention. Which is to maximize the use of available home technologies to find yet another way to bring people together. In this case for the common love for, will to create, and desire to share music with anyone who cares to watch and listen.
ClipBandits is the world's first web band.

ClipBandits became instant YouTube sensations as the world's first web band with the release of their first video, "Internet Killed the Video Star", which has since been viewed over 1.3 million times. ClipBandits had never met each other, didn't know each other's names or where each other lived. They only knew one another's YouTube user names and created their original music by syncing each other's YouTube videos.
ClipBandits have since been featured on Good Morning America, ABC News, were invited to meet and perform for the first time on FOX Network's Tyra Banks Show, received "Honorable Mention" in the national Cingular Wireless Underground Band Contest, were the #1 featured video by YouTube at the top of their main page, have been covered by TV news in Italy, Singapore, Russia, Venezuela, India, Canada and Brazil, as well as countless print and internet articles around the world. Nokia-Brazil selected ClipBandits Channel as recommended content for wireless Internet devices. Search "ClipBandits" in Google to get a sense of the massive international coverage ClipBandits have enjoyed.
ClipBandits have released a follow up video entitled, "Higher".
A very special thank you to Tyra Banks, ABC News and Good Morning America for allowing these appearances to be posted as videos on the ClipBandits YouTube channel. Much much appreciation to YouTube for making all this possible. And a gigantic THANK YOU to the thousands of fans who have taken the time to contact ClipBandits with generous support and feedback!
