Forterra Systems and SUMMIT developed and evaluated simulation-based training with avatars using MMOS (Massively Multiplayer Online Simulation) technology as a tool for training medical first responders to chemical, biological, nuclear, radiological, and high explosive (CBRNE) events.
This video was published upon Forterra's completion of a Commercialization Pilot Program with the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command. Drawing upon the expertise of a US Army Subject Matter Expert (SME), we developed training scenarios that take place in the contemporary operating environment. We provided virtual environments, assets, and tools that can be used by military instructors to address gaps in their training needs for response to CBRNE and other mass-casualty incidents. We also significantly enhanced the instructor toolset to enable 3rd party developers to compose, catalog, and reuse training scenarios for Forterras OLIVE virtual worlds platform in a diverse array of settings. More information about Forterra Systems can be found at www.forterrainc.com
