Recent credits include lead roles and solos with companies across New England and throughout the Midwest. A specialist in the new music and contemporary opera repertory, Mr. Smith has premiered compositions by over a dozen composers including Monica Houghton, Andrew Wilson, Randal Despommier, Richard Rice, Paul Osterfield, Michael Djupstrom, Zachary Wadsworth, Cherise D. Leiter, Scott Gendel, Daron Aric Hagen, Henry Mollicone, among others. He has also created the roles for many new operas including Memory I in Robert J. Bradshaw's .Gabriel, KeHoTeque in David Edgar Walther's Antigon, and The Ghost of W.H. Auden in Matt Aucoin's From Sandover among others.
