Restaurant Worker Justice

The restaurant industry is the largest private sector employer in the United States. However besides a small exception, wages are amongst the lowest of any industry in the U.S. Discrimination, sexual harassment and health and safety problems like cuts, burns and repetitive motion injuries are pervasive. If the wages and conditions in this industry do not improve they will drag the entire service sector and others down with them.

Just like the auto industry in the 1920's workers organizing for improved wages and conditions can make the entire industry a better place to work. Restaurant workers must unite and organize!
