We all have a special place we call home and the people and their stories that we remember. From the mountains of Southwestern Virginia to the rolling hills of Culpeper Virginia, I share with you my memories of my home and the people and their stories:

From the Confederate soldiers who left families and longed for home, to my Uncle Beacher who said a prayer each time he left for work in the coal mines, to the strength and devotion of God-fearing mountain people, to the heartache, loss and even the little nicknames we give people we love, these songs tell the stories that many families share of past and present. With pride in our Southern heritage, we must never forget the people who left us this legacy.
