None of the blood examples you showed were animated blood. Animated blood was and is harder to create an effect for. Just because they didnt put in blood when she was stabbed means nothing except it is an expensive effect and very easy to have it look like a poorly created effect, especially on an early system like ps1.

Yes, sometimes I dont want to play a big huge game that takes a long time to get into. Sometimes I dont want to play a game with explosions and shoot outs. I guess it depends what type of mood I'm in and thats why I play all types of games.
